This blog is a little network for the Erasmus Students from The National University of Arts - Bucharest. In need for a better communication, this is the place where they can write their thoughts, experiences, problems and suggestions about their Erasmus Scholarship. It is as well an opportunity for other art students and not only, to find out about Erasmus. Are you interested or considering the thought of applying for an Erasmus Scholarship? Here you can actually "take the pulse" of an Erasmus Exchange. Questions? Accepted Erasmus students? write: ancaboeriu@yahoo.com

Hi everybody! Seems like I'm the one that breaks the ice. I'm leaving to Milan ( with Andreea Dragomir) on the 11th of October, but the Erasmus experience already began, when I had to search for a place to stay. It was very hard, given the fact that the University of Brera doesn't have hostels. I wasted a lot of time and energy. I tried to apply for a double room at other universities' hostels, but they didn't agree. I used web sites in my search for rent, some of them even require payment. I give their names, perhaps they may be of use to somebody in the future: www.bakeka.it www.esnmilanostatale.it ( this one is for Erasmus students). In Milan the prices are quite high. For renting a room the average is 300 - 350 euros, for only one person. Even in hostels the price is 350 for a single room and 250 for a double room- apparently they only have single and double rooms, unlike Romania...
I was a little nervous when I had to tell the persons I was sending e-mails to from which country we are, but in a strange way, when they were told that, they were very nice and even tried to help us. They were sorry for the bad things that were said about Romanians.
Seems like I've found a room for rent, at a family from Peru`, where I'll stay with Andreea. So I'll improve my Spanish too :D. Hope I don't mix them.
This is my experience so far. Can't wait to leave. :)
